About Me

Symphonie Privett’s career spans seven years. She began her career as an Associate Producer at the ABC affiliate KAIT in Jonesboro, Arkansas where she climbed the ranks to become a Multimedia Journalist and then an Anchor for the station’s Good Morning Region 8 newscast before her departure in 2017. During her time at KAIT, Symphonie was awarded two Arkansas Associated Press Broadcasters Awards. Symphonie continued her career at NBC affiliate WLBT in Jackson, Mississippi, where she worked as a Weekend Anchor/MMJ, fill-in Anchor for the evening newscasts, and most recently helped Central Mississippians start their day as an Anchor on the station’s weekday morning newscast. She also helped launch the station’s Today at 11 program where she produced segments for the show, served as a Co-Anchor, and reported on social media trends. While working in Jackson, Symphonie was awarded a Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press Award for her Women in Civil Rights series. As a military brat with California roots, Symphonie grew up traveling across the country and overseas. When she's not on-air, Symphonie enjoys reading, cooking, exercising, and community outreach through her speaking engagements.
